 Clothing: Bomber style hat with large ear flaps and a black hoodie, with a triangle logo on the right sleeve.

 

On 01/15/16 at 1135 hours the above suspect entered Leslie Pool Supply at 2971 Ygnacio Valley Road and exposed a handgun, as he demanded money from the register. The suspect fled on foot and was last seen getting into a silver sedan parked in the Encina Grande shopping center.

 Clothing:  "Coogi" jacket and black hoodie. Tattoo on the right side of the neck.

 

On 1/15/16 at 1338 hours the suspect entered the Bank of the West in the downtown area talking on the phone. After briefly waiting in line, the suspect greeted the teller, leaned over and whispered “This is a robbery, I’m going to need you to give me all the larger bills.” No weapon was seen. The suspect left on foot and was last seen heading towards the BART Station.

During March, April and May 2013 police received reports of a male subject following joggers on trails near Civic Park, Walnut Creek Intermediate School and Lincoln Avenue. The suspect is described as a younger white male adult with a thin build. His appearance is similar to the sketch shown here. Some victims have reported the suspect was seen masturbating while staring at them. All of the cases to date have occurred along or near the East Bay Regional Parks trial between Treat Blvd. and Newell Ave. In addition to the Walnut Creek PD investigation other incidents are being investigated by the East Bay Regional Parks Police and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office. 11/08/12, a female was walking to her car in the PG&E lot at 370 N Wiget Lane (in the Shadelands Office complex). The victim was kidnapped by two white male adults in their late 20’s and taken to several ATMs. After approximately two hours, the victim was released with minor injuries in Oakland. Suspect # 1 is in photo at one of the ATM’s.

Cold Case 89-11478
On 12/20/1989 Tamara Moats (39 years old) was murdered in the area of Clifton Ct and Lancaster Dr in Walnut Creek, CA. Tamara had been severely beaten and strangled. Through Walnut Creek Police Department’s investigation we were ultimately able to identify a suspect in this case. In 1995 we identified Arturo Ochoa Sanchez as a suspect in this homicide. In 1995 we obtained a one million dollar murder warrant for Sanchez. Records reveal Sanchez was deported in July of 1990 to Mexico via Calexico, CA.

Walnut Creek Police Department is working with the US Marshall’s Office, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and INTERPOL at an attempt to locate Sanchez.
