SUSPECT: Louis Richard Fresquez, WMA, DOB: 1942, black hair, brown eyes, 5'5" tall and 140lbs
CASE SUMMARY: On 9-5-76 at 8:14PM, Walnut Creek P.D. officers responded to 197 Los Cerros Ave in Walnut Creek in order to contact Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson who were reporting their 9 year old daughter, Lisa Dickinson, as missing. Lisa Dickinson was last seen by her parents on 9-5-76 at 6:30 PM when she left her home on Los Cerros Ave on her bike. Lisa was going to ride her bike, a red girls Raleigh 10 speed, through Heather Farm Park on her way to the Pleasant Hill BART station. Lisa was suppose to return by 8:00 PM. When Lisa did not return home by that time, her parents began searching the area but were unable to find her. Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson then called the Walnut Creek Police Dept and reported Lisa missing.
A further search of the area was conducted by officers but Lisa was not located. However, Lisa's bike was located hidden under a walnut tree on the north side of Heather Farms Park. Several witnesses were contacted by officers who reported that on 9-5-76 at approximately 7:30 PM., they saw a WMA in his 40's, brown curly hair, mustache, chunky build, driving a medium size motorcycle on Ygnacio Valley Rd at the intersection of Walnut Ave. The WMA wasn't wearing a helmet. This location is approximately 2 blocks east of Heather Farm Park. Riding on the back of the motorcycle was a WFJ between 8-12 years old, who was wearing a white helmet.
Subsequent investigation by officers determined that Louis Fresquez was the prime suspect in the kidnapping of Lisa Dickinson. However, officers were unable to develop enough evidence to file charges against Fresquez. Fresquez has been serving time in the California Prison system since 1987 for sex related crimes. He is scheduled to be released from prison in June 2012.
